About Us
Akademia Psa PracujÄ…cego (The Working Dog Academy) is a place where people meet with their dogs and where dogs meet their people.

This motto is with us from the beginning and guides us in all of our activities. It became the answer to our questions about dog training: What is the goal of the training courses? What do we want to offer our clients? How to accommodate human needs with the philosophy of letting dogs still be dogs.

We wanted to create a place that allows the mutual understanding of two distinct species: homo sapiens and canis familiaris. Therefore it is important to gain knowledge about the specific needs of both species and to respect them.

Obedience at the training site IS NOT our goal.
Our goal is to let you and your dog work together towards mutual trust and understanding, which will affect all other aspects of your lives.
Work at a permanent training site is kept at the bare minimum. We always try to work at places where people usually spend time with their dogs, to search for real-life solutions.
We have many programs available in our offer. All of them have their own goals and schedules and refer to different activities with your dog. But those are never the main concern of our instructors.
In any course, the main focus is teaching our clients (on two and four legs) about mutual respect for each other’s needs.
Then we work on building a strong connection between a human and a dog. A bond based on knowledge and understanding.
Next, we teach how to cope with unusual and difficult situations.
And only at the end we teach commands
From our experience, getting through the first-mentioned parts of the training lets you train with commands with ease.
At the beginning of our courses, we ask our clients what they want to teach their dog - at the end, they know how to do it without our help.
